New Disability Justice Attorney Connor D. Deverell’s passion for public service inspires his practice

October 6, 2015

Connor D. Deverell

Disability Justice welcomes Connor D. Deverell as an associate attorney in its New York City office. He is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and earned his bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in French from the College of Charleston.

Connor has an ingrained drive to assist others. His numerous legal internships and volunteer activities  have always focused on those in need. While studying abroad in Australia, Connor helped refugees in obtaining residency and work visas as a volunteer for C.A.S.E. Law Firm for Refugees. As a law clerk for a legal services organization, he aided the homeless in securing public assistance and interned at a public defender’s office.

Connor chose to focus his practice on Social Security disability because he understands the impact these benefits can have on recipients’ lives.

“I’ve always felt a need to serve the public,” he said. “It is a true honor to be able to make a difference in someone’s life by fighting on their behalf to secure the benefits they deserve.”
