MBBA Community Law Day

On Saturday, April 16, 2016, Associate Nathalie Martelly joined the Metropolitan Black Bar Association (MBBA) as volunteer legal counsel for local community members during their annual Harlem Community Law Day. Nathalie spoke with attendees about their right to Social Security Disability Insurance and provided information on how to secure benefits if they are unable to work due to disability.

The event was also attended by Congressman Charles Rangel, Manhattan borough president Gale Brewer, and State Representative Rodneyse Bichotte. Congressman Rangel thanked the attorneys present for volunteering for those who need it most.

"Because of your training... you can relieve them of an emotional circumstance, and they will say thank you, “ he said.

The MBBA strives to advance equality and excellence in the pursuit of justice by aiding minorities in the community and in the legal field with initiatives aimed at encouraging personal and professional development.
