Disability Justice Attorney Brynn Lapszynski shared six important facts about Social Security Disability Insurance in the Summer 2016 Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome (RSDSA) Community Update.  RSDSA is an outlet for the complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) community, an international 501 © 3 not-for-profit organization providing support, education and hope to all affected by the pain and disability of CRPS/RSD.  They also encourage research to develop better treatments and a cure.

Brynn’s article addressed frequently asked questions that people with CRPS may have when unable to work and considering Social Security Disability Insurance.

“Over 200,000 individuals in the Unites States suffer with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) per year,” Lapszynski wrote. “Constant pain and inflammation cause many to consider applying for Social Security Disability (SSD) benefits, but uncertainty about the application process may unnecessarily delay or prevent CRPS patients from applying.”

The article went on to address questions such as how the application process works, what conditions are considered “disabling,” and how an attorney can help with the disability process.
